Port of Scrabster
Harbour Hotels and Accommodation
(Scrabster, Caithness, Scotland, UK)
Scrabster is a small port and was built as an extension to the town of Thurso, which is a popular Scottish coastal town.
It is a good place to loiter for a few days before moving on to the Orkney Isles or when on the way to Inverness. There are a number of good hotels here, as well as cheaper bed and breakfasts.
Well known hotels in Thurso include Murray House, Pentland, St Clair Hotel and Park Hotel, all of which are located near the town centre. The Park Hotel is a particularly good choice. It is a three-star establishment with good business facilities and nearby spa services.
On the whole, options are few and visitors are unlikely to find extreme luxury. It's a good idea to pre-book and keep your expectations mooted. There are also a number of B&Bs to choose from.
